Map Description
Background Story
In the city of Vim’s Gatetown the spirits of six ancient heroes have been summoned to inhabit the bodies of local heroes and lead them into the depths of the Maze of the Mad Illusionist, known as the Spidering Willcage. Once outside the city of Vim’s Gatetown, the heroes must fight their way through a treacherous land where the illusionist is constantly summoning enemies to fight them and to make matters worse, his powers grow when night falls, allowing him to summon even more monsters to keep you from reaching the Maze.
Inside the Maze, the Illusionist has even more power – constantly using his illusions to baffle intruders and his horrifying maze is swarmed with murderous creatures who descend upon the heroes as they wind their way down to the depths of the deepest part of the Maze, where the Illusionist resides. Legends have it that the Maze is also protected by a powerful Minotaur who owes his life to the Mad Illusionist and fiercely guard the entrance to his secret chamber.
Should a hero die, his spirit returns to Vim’s Gatetown to join with the body of another of the town’s remaining heroes.

More Info
Spidering Willcage is a very old RPG. This map was originally created for WC3 Reign of Chaos and was later adapted for TFT. Spidering Willcage was one of the very first maps in Warcraft to use triggered abilities (in the older versions, the triggered abilities were done through items) and although most are fairly simple things, at the time, they were ground-breaking stuff. I maintain this map mostly out of respect for the people who helped develop it and those who have been fans. This is the first new version of the map in over a year - I expect to eventually remake the terrain and perhaps add a few new twists, but most of the changes made in this version are meant to improve the spawners and make the heroes a little more interesting and better suited for the map. Enjoy!
