So, to continue from before... we were moving back and forth around the panda areas; they kept the baby separated from the daddy because they were worried about it getting attacked. The mommy and daddy were recently put together and so they were even scrapping a little. If you have never heard a panda howl before, it sounds a lot like when Chewbacca from Star Wars gets angry. The mommy panda was also starting to go into heat, so she was acting a little nutty. At one point she started to climb one of the trees in their pen and I was there with the camera, so I got some action shots. The funny part is that after climbing up, she decided to start hanging from a branch by her back legs. She quickly flipped upside-down and was basically balancing her head on a lower branch. I was trying not to laugh while taking these photos, because it was hysterical to watch her flopping around once she got stuck like that and couldn't right herself. After about 3 minutes of struggling to find a way to get right-side up, she finally managed it and then climbed back down.

Cute! Rick DiPietro musta been watching Mommy Panda too. He did everything BUT stand on his head in stopping an incredible 50-some shots on goal on Monday night. (I know it's not really on topic but it was an awesome hockey game and hockey is part of Life and Pandas too.)
You guys had a character-building trip, indeed. I'm glad you got to have a little fun after all.
